The Battle of Monmouth took place quite near me and we went to the 200th anniversary recreation back in 1978. My son was one and was quite thrilled by it all. As for me, I unknowingly stood in some poison ivy and came down with a horrendous case so I always associate the Battle of Monmouth with itching! Here's two photos from that day.
