January 7, 1114 - Wedding of Maud (daughter of Henry I) and Henry V, Holy Roman Emperor at Mainz, Germany
Maud married first husband Henry when she was 12 and was a childless widow at age 23. Her second husband was Geoffrey Plantagenet and together they were the parents of Henry II of England.

Eleanor was the third daughter and fifth and youngest child of King John and his wife Isabella of Angouleme. She first married William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke and was widowed at age 16. Seven years later, Eleanor secretly married Simon de Montfort. Montfort was a famous statesman and soldier and was killed at the Battle of Evesham. He is considered to be the father of Parliament.

Gustav and Louise's marriage was childless but Margaret's descendants sit upon the thrones of Denmark and Sweden. Queen Margrethe of Denmark is her granddaughter and King Carl Gustaf of Sweden is her grandson.
