July 10, 1711 – Birth of Princess Amelia, daughter of George II, at Schloss Herrenhausen, Hanover, Germany
Full name: Amelia Sophia Eleanor
Princess Amelia was the second daughter of George II and Caroline of Ansbach. She was considered as a bride for her cousin Crown Prince Frederick of Prussia (Frederick the Great) but the plans fell through and Amelia never did marry. After the death of her mother, Amelia became her father's constant companion. She had a great interest in horses and dogs and was greatly attached to her only surviving brother William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland. Amelia died in 1786 and was buried in the royal vault in the Henry VII Chapel, Westminster Abbey.

James, the second son of James, Duke of York (later James II) and his first wife Anne Hyde. Little James fell ill in April of 1667 and died on June 20, 1667. He was buried in Westminster Abbey.

July 11, 1751 – Birth of Caroline Matilda of Wales at Leicester House, London, daughter of Frederick, Prince of Wales, sister of George III, wife of Christian VII of Denmark

Princess Irene was the daughter of Princess Alice and Grand Duke Louis of Hesse and by Rhine. She married her first cousin Prince Henry of Prussia. Irene was a hemophilia carrier and transmitted the disease to two of her sons.

July 11, 1920 – Death of Eugénie de Montijo, Empress of the French, during a visit to her relatives, the Dukes of Alba in Madrid, in her native Spain; buried in the Imperial Crypt at Saint Michael's Abbey, Farnborough, England with her husband and her son

July 11, 2011 - Death of George Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood, son of Mary, Princess Royal, at Harewood House near Leeds
Lord Harewood was a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth I.

John was the eldest son and fourth child of Edward I and Eleanor of Castile. He died at age 5 in Wallingford, Berkshire while in the care of his uncle Richard, Earl of Cornwall. Richard was taking care of his brother Edward I's children while he and his wife were on Crusade. Prince John was buried in Westminster Abbey on the north side of Edward the Confessor's tomb.

July 13, 1645 – Death of Tsar Michael of Russia in Moscow; buried at Cathedral of the Archangel in Moscow

July 13, 1798 - Birth of Charlotte of Prussia, wife of Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, at Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin

July 13, 1807 - Death of Henry Stuart, Cardinal Duke of York and King Henry IX to the Jacobites, at Frascati, Italy, buried in St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City

Charlotte was known as Alexandra Feodorovna after her marriage

July 13, 1861 – Birth of Maria Ana of Portugal, wife of Grand Duke Guillaume IV of Luxembourg, at Schloss Bronnbach in Wertheim am Main, Baden-Württemberg
Maria Ana was Catholic and Guillaume was Protestant. They agreed that their children would be raised as Catholics because the majority of the population of Luxembourg was Catholic. The Grand Ducal family has been Catholic ever since.

July 13, 1889 – Birth of Louise of Battenberg (Lady Louise Mountbatten), second wife of Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden, at Schloss Heiligenberg, Seeheim-Jugenheim, Hesse (Germany)

Isabella was the daughter of Queen Juana of Castile (the daughter of Ferdinand of Aragon II /Isabella I of Castile and the sister of Catherine of Aragon) and Philip of Burgundy (the Handsome). It is said that the elder daughter of current Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark is named after her.

July 18, 1918 – Murder of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna of Russia at Alapaevsk, Russia; remains were reburied at the Church of Mary Magdalene in Jerusalem
Ella, as she was called by her family, was the daughter of Princess Alice of the United Kingdom and Grand Duke Louis IV of Hesse and by Rhine and the sister of Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna, wife of Tsar Nicholas II. She married Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich, son of Tsar Alexander II. After Sergei’s assassination in 1905, Ella became a nun. Ella was brutally murdered by the Bolsheviks with five other Romanovs: Grand Duke Sergei Mikhailovich; three sons of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich, Prince Ioann Konstantinovich, Prince Konstantin Konstantinovich, Prince Igor Konstantinovich and a son of Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich, Prince Vladimir Pavlovich Paley; and another nun, Varvara Yakovleva. Ella and Varvara have been glorified (canonized) as saints of the Russian Orthodox Church.
