Blood Diamond with Leonard di Caprio. Powerful film.

Blood Diamond is one of Leo's best I think, if you liked Blood Diamond you might like his new one Body of Lies, very intense and very good I might add.

has anyone seen Brideshead Revisited? It looks really good but it seems to be an awful lot like Atonment/Cruel Intentions.

I didn't know that les Liasions Dangereuse and Atonement are similar. At any rate, BR was written before A.

I refuse to watch BR because I can't imagine how in a few hours a movie could capture the story as the Bri series did 20 odd years ago.

Tonight we watched Topsy Turvy about Gilbert and Sullivan. Very enjoyable!

sorry I wasn't saying Atonment and Cruel Intentions were alike but the preview for BR seemed to be a mix of both movies with a different back drop.

I think the setting of BR is similar to Atonement ie English country house between the wars but that's where the similarity ends. I wouldn't think it's anything like Cruel Intentions/Dangerous Liaisons though!

I agree Ash, I don't know how the film can match the TV series (haven't seen the film myself) but I think the film concentrates mainly on the love triangle between Charles, Sebastian and Julia whereas the series of course covered a lot of what happened after they all got involved with each other, as well as how they all first met.
