"LoveHistory" wrote:I love the movie and the BBC miniseries of Sense & Sensibility. Different yet equal in my opinion. Nothing against Alan Rickman (talented actor that he is) but I have a definite soft spot for David Morrissey as the good Colonel. Probably because of little things they did with the character. And the duel is awesome!

I must watch the Morrissey one because although I do like Alan Rickman, I did not like him as the Colonel.

Although not a film, I have just finished watching the boxed set of Blackpool with Morrissey and David Tennant. I love them both.

Nefret, which BBC version? The 1996 stars Kate Beckinsale. The 2009 stars Romola Garai. The 1972 stars Doran Goodwin (never have been able to watch this one all the way through).

I just love Jeremy Northam as Mr. Knightley in the Miramax version with Paltrow.

It's the 2009 one, I think. And I also ordered the BBC version of Daniel Deronda with Hugh Dancy.

I remember seeing it on "Masterpiece Theater" when it first aired. It was an interesting watch!
