I am now 200 pages into the first book in the Morland series, and I can already tell you that I will definitely be reading more books in this series. I am really enjoying it so far.
Oh goody. I can tell you that many of her characters stay with you for years. From the first novel, I will never forget Eleanor and Robert.

Glad you like it Diamondlil! I really envy you, having 30+ books ahead of you! I started re-reading them last month, I'm on book 11 now. I must have read the earlier books 3 times before this and I still love them.
I actually wrote to Cynthia Harrod-Eagles a few weeks ago, to thank her for writing the books and telling her how my Grandmother and I bonded over them. and also to express my dismay that they are ending so soon!
I got a very very nice response from her, she seems genuinly sad that the books are ending too.
Well, you can add me to the list of "I've started reading the Morland series and I'm now a big fan." Just finished The Founding. I'm so glad that Eleanor and her family were on the York side in the War of the roses.
yay! just wait, they get better and better! i am currently re-reading and am in the middle of the Napoleonic wars, probably my favorite chunk of the series.

How many books are there left? This one and one other?
