Hey, Chris, welcome to the forum! My husband and daughter are huge soccer fans. We followed the San Jose Earthquakes until they moved to Houston. Now we have a team again in San Jose, but we still love some of the former players who are on the Houston team. I'm partial to the goalie, Pat Onstadt, myself.

Hi Chris, always glad to see another Pennman fan! Although I dont really understand the what the hoopla is over soccer (OK, well maybe Beckham
) Ha, ha. A big welcome from your northern neighbor in Canada (Hockey Central) looking foreward to future posts!

That's great to hear. I go out and try to watch FC Dallas play but they are pretty bad at the moment. It's tough going from watching Manchester United play in the mornings to see guys for FCD who can't even do the basics of the game well. Enjoy our former player Arturo "I only use my right leg for balance" Alvarez.

What can I say? The game fits my personality. Although Toronto has a great following for their soccer team so it isn't all hockey all the time there.

That's right, it isn't hockey all the time up here, but it probably should be. Ha, ha! At least around Edmonton, Oiler's fans are know to be the loudest in the whole league which I can attest to as I've been to several games! Ear plugs are a necessity! My son loves soccer, he is a striker on his school team. It's a great sport that requires little if any equipment, that's what I appreciate about soccer.
