Future Author Visits

Post by Rowan » Mon October 20th, 2008, 9:58 pm

Hey...

I don't really look at the site announcements thread mostly cos it's way down at the bottom and I don't usually get that far. Consequently I missed the announcement regarding SKP's visit. I have two ideas to help bring future author visits to the attention of more members, like me.

1. Send a mass email to all members letting us know who is coming and when.

2. Move the site announcements up to the top in it's own section.

Thanks loads. I'm sad I didn't know about SKP's visit. :( :( :(

Thanks!

Rowan

I always click on 'New Posts' so I don't have to scroll down the whole board.

I hadn't come across Joanne Harris' "Evil Seed" before, Vanessa. It sounds quite different from her later work (I see it's described as her first novel). A gothic Joanne Harris- I think I'll have to track down a copy!

On the old board new posts were always listed on the home page. Is that do-able?

Probably, but it's going to have to wait a bit before I can tinker with it, and I don't think Marg has a lot of free time at the moment either. In the meantime, clicking "New Posts" will bring them all up.
