Good point Ellenjane. Just about every book out there right now has "queen" something in it.

This does sound fun; my local used bookstore had an ARC of it for sale and I almost grabbed it.

Robin Maxwell also has a What If? story, called The Queen's Bastard, about a son born to Elizabeth and Robert Dudley. I loved her book.
