About the book specifically, I don't know much more than what you saw on the Amazon page. The author has written a number of novels as Kimberly Cates - mostly historical but also some contemporary romances.

Thank you. I put in a purchase request at the library so we'll see if I get it.

I did see that. Maybe she'll stop by and give us more info.

OT, it seems you and I have graduated to compulsive readers. Anyone else you've noticed?

Oh, this was a very interesting book! It's always fun to speculate What if in terms of history and this is one of those novels. The author asks what if Elizabeth I had given birth to a daughter during a missing nine months in her life.

Nell is this daughter, and she is the spitting image of Elizabeth. When she arrives at court to be a lady-in-waiting, the queen notices her, as do the queen's many enemies who'd love to expose a royal scandal and bring her down. I'd like to think that if Elizabeth really had a daughter, this would be how it all unfolded!

It looks like a good read!

At first I thought that this was a thread about title trends - it has both "virgin" and "daughter/wife." I was going to say that they just needed to add "heretic" or "alchemist" or "physician" somewhere in there and they'd be all set. The Virgin Queen's Heretic Daughter. In Love. Now that would make me sit up and take notice! :D
