Sheila Bishop on Kindle?

Post by Lisa » Thu November 14th, 2013, 12:21 pm

Does anyone know if Sheila Bishop's books are available on Kindle in the US (or anywhere else)? I noticed today that a couple of hard to find, OOP titles on my wish list have had the covers changed to generic, Kindley-looking covers (see attachment). However, there are no listings for her books on Kindle on Amazon UK. I just wondered if they were being republished on Kindle, or if they already are in the US and we're missing out over here again. I want to read Penelope Devereux by the author, there don't seem to be many books about her.

Ok thanks, at least I know I'm not missing out. I'll keep an eye out though because that cover does look very 'Kindley'.

It does look like a generic Kindle cover. Have you checked project Gutenberg?

SB's novels do still seem to be readily available on the second-hand book market at reasonable prices -list here - but you might be like me and prefer e-reading because it's easier on the eyes :)

Thanks for that list annis, yes e-books are much easier in the eyes, especially compared to the tiny print you get in older paperbacks. Sometimes the words just swim for me, especially at the end of the day.

Glad I'm not alone on that. I have some of the yummiest looking older books I'm dying to try and then the font size sends me running for something else. Even worse when it's combined with that bible thin white paper
