What Are You Reading? October 2013

It is a great read-flows like a novel but sticks to facts which is what you would expect of a NF. You likely wouldn't finish it on a 5 hour flight but I'm already half way through after just starting it Sunday so...

I've heard very mixed reviews on The Plantagenets. I was going to buy it but decided it wouldn't be in depth enough for what I needed. If I see it in the library I'll give it a go.
I'm still not reading historical. Currently on a spiritual book The Sculptor in the Sky by Teal Scott.

I've been veering away from hf lately. Reread all of Michael Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer novels and am now finishing up a Harry Bosch novel. I have a SKP novel that I want to pick up again at some time.

There are quite a few things in there that were "new" to me and kept it interesting but not quite an in depth look as one would expect.

I read this a few months ago and loved it. I had no idea it was the last of a trilogy. As a stand alone novel it did just fine.

Right now I'm reading Across a Moonlit Sea by Marsha Canham. It was free on Kindle and it's been too long since I've read a good HR. I'm only about 50 pages in so it's too soon to tell if I like it yet.

It just came out, so perhaps you read one of the earlier volumes if you read it a few months ago.

I'm reading Songs of Willow Frost by Jamie Ford, a story set in 1934 and 1921. I'm enjoying it very much so far.

I got it from the Vine Newsletter in June or July. I can't remember exactly but I reviewed it in July. It was definitely the last book in the series.
