Penmarric by Susan Howatch. Not sure what I think so far but am certainly having a hard time tying this storyline with SKP's Eleanor/Henry II tale.

I had it easy. Whoever had checked it out from the library before me had scribbled who was who all over the chapter headers :/

People wrote in your library book, Misfit? Somebody should tell them about notebooks.

I've had it happen before. One time someone edited all the typos in red pen

Read pen?? Yikes! I would never take notes in any book (especially in one that wasn't mine).

I won't even do that with owned books. Marked up one ARC I got from Vine, but I didn't care since it wasn't a keeper and you can't pass along vine stuff.

I use notebooks or post-its if I need to. (Can you make notes on an e-book?)

Preferred HF: I like a series the best - more to look forward to after one book ends. Masters of Rome, The Century Trilogy, & the Outlander series are some of my favorites.

50th anniversary To Kill A Mockingbird. Can't believe I never read it before now. When I'm done I'll have to watch the movie, as I've only seen bits & pieces of that. I can't get Gregory Peck out of my mind as I read though!

All the notes-in-the margins folks should have those then.
