Alnwick Castle wedding

Post by annis » Tue June 25th, 2013, 5:23 am

Those who've read Carol Wensby-Scott's fab Lion of Alnwick series following the fortunes of the Percy family during the Middle Ages, might be interested in this story about a recent wedding at Alnwick, seat of the Dukes of Northumberland - yes, remarkably, having survived all the vicissitudes of history, the Percys are still there.

A veritable who's who of younger royalty and British aristocracy turned out for the high society wedding of Lady Melissa Percy and Prince William's good friend
Thomas van Straubenzee.
