I am happy to announce that my book, Immortal Betrayal, the first book of the "Chronicles of the Mages" series, has been picked up by a publisher.
I began this series as a self-published enterprise while I continued the search for a publisher. Now the entire series will be released by Thursday Night Press, a small press based in Denver which seeks to promote Colorado writers.
The Chronicles is a 5-book series telling the stories of the Homo magus, a secondary species of humans who live extraordinarily long lives, and their involvement with historical events. There is a rising conflict among the mages, as they now call themselves, which will culminate in the present day in book 5.
Immortal Betrayal follows the story of Dano Varos, who faces intense tragedy early in his long life, only to have to face a shadowy again in later centuries. He ultimately finds himself protecting the Imperial Crown of Russia from one of his fellow mages ... twice. Set mostly in late 17th century and early 20th century Russia, the story begins in 15th century Normandy.
Under the Thursday Night Press label, the book has been re-edited, and is now available on all manner of e-readers. The paperback edition is currently being printed and will be available in about a week or so.
