Did Duchess Kate Almost Say the "D" Word?

No, the Queen is a figure head, although the prime minister does have discussions with her. I'm sure she gives her two penn'orth, though!
The Royal family attract a lot of tourism, therefore bring money into the country, so it's very unlikely they will be 'got rid of' (how would you do this - assassinate them??). You wouldn't come to the UK for the weather, would you?! LOL. So, no, Queen Liz will not be the lasty monarch. They are much loved by the majority of the British public (including me). Contrary to what people say, they do work very hard with their various charities, etc. I wouldn't want their job - you couldn't exactly pop down to the local shop in your pyjamas, could you?
I wouldn't fancy the alternative either - I don't see that that's any better.

Having grown up in a nation without royalty, I rather like them.
Even if she had said something beginning with a "d" it could have been dear, or darling, or devilishly handsome or just about anything else.
A girl would be lovely, but then so would a boy. I have no preference for them. Just hope mother and baby make it through all right.
