Series 4 is pretty underwhelming, they're just about to start filming series 5 so fingers crossed it's better!

so far I dont mind series 4 and am liking it better than the war years. However, I am slightly annoyed that ever male that comes across Lady Mary trips over themselves to get an audience with her.

For those of you that have seen the season four finale...
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

We just started season 4 last night. So far, it's okay, if nothing brilliant has happened

What the french toast was that? Was that it? Was that the season finale? That was pretty underwhelming. I also didn't like how they threw all these new characters at us without introducing them first. I can't stand such nonsense.

I didn't mind it but it seemed like this season was Mary's flavor of the month...who will it be this time? Who will she love? blah blah blah.

So was it the series finale? Or was it the Christmas special? Too mean with Downton, the series finale is never much....its the Christmas special which is the real series final. Though I don't remember it being too exciting this time around either!
