Greetings and happy to be here!

Post by DH Hanni » Tue January 29th, 2013, 10:47 pm

Greetings, my name is DH Hanni and I'm a fledging writer. I love to read historical fiction since I got my college degree in it and have discovered over the past couple of years that I love writing. I'm currently working on research for a book set in medieval Wales primarily around Owain Glyn Dwr's Rebellion. I've written bits of it down and roughly outlined things but nothing concrete yet.

I mainly enjoy reading about the middle ages up to the very early 1900s. For some reason, my brain just clicks better with history than more contemporary stuff.

I've written a few short stories on a variety of topics. I'm also working on creating a book of short stories I've written inspired by various paintings by Vincent van Gogh.

My favorite historical fiction writer is Ken Follett and I like Phllipa Gregory as well.

I look forward to learning about new authors and using this site as a research tool and meeting other people who love historical fiction like me. :)

Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
