Raveled Ends of Skyby Linda Sandifer is free today. California via wagon train. I was super excited about this (first published 1999), but then I clicked on her other books a realized I'd read another which was a bit of a dog for me.

Amazon UK deals:

The Eagle of the Ninth Chronicles by Rosemary Sutcliff is £2.08. It contains all three books so that's a good deal (although I have the paperback box-set already...).

The Valley of the Horses by Jean M. Auel is £1.70.

The Poisoned Pilgrim by Oliver Pötzsch is £1.99.

There are also eight Bernard Cornwell books reduced to £1.51 each.

I am not sure if anyone has posted about this lately, but I have just noticed that there have been a number of Marjorie Bowen books released on Kindle in the last month or so. Includes her books Dickon and Queen's Caprice (Richard III and MQoS respectively). Priced at up to $2.99.

I haven't come across this author before, but she has written on some interesting subjects, including a trilogy about William of Orange. Have you read any of her books? Given their age, I was wondering if they might be a bit dated in style.

i've still got a copy of the original 3-in-i trilogy, only back in 1980 it was titled Three Legions :)

Interesting, I didn't know that! My box set is the one that was published just last year. Not a film tie-in, but probably republished because of the film (which I haven't seen).
