I was nosy enough to buy a copy I found on Amazon just now. (What did I spend money on before Amazon?)
Evidently, Defenders of the Faith was originally published in the 1950's under one of Plaidy's earlier pen names, Ellalice Tate.
I've read To Hold the Crown a/k/a Uneasy Lies the Head and did not really care for it. I've read about 30 of her books and it seems that the quality really varies.
I did not know that these 2 were the same book. To Hold the Crown is on my WL and someone on paperbackswap was offering Uneasy Lies the Head and I turned it down. I should have checked it out first. However, I did get 4 of her books this week from PBS - The Courts of Love, Lady in the Tower, Revolt of the Eaglets and Plantagenet Prelude. Is there some place that gives the old name and the new name?

I have a 1971 reprint of Defenders of the Faith which I got off eBay a few years back. It's under the Plaidy name. It wasn't cheap but not outrageous either... there are three other used copies on Amazon UK now going for about what I paid. I suspect the re-release will be out by the time I get to it.
