I can't believe I signed up in February and didn't make any posts until now! Could have sworn I'd done so...

Anyways, my name is Evangeline and I love reading historical fiction. Funnily enough, what got me excited about the genre were the American Girl dolls and the Sweet Valley Twins sagas, LOL. From there I moved to Ann Rinaldi's amazing American historicals, and later discovered gothics, historical mysteries, and historical romances, until my bookshelves groaned beneath the weight of all types of historical fiction. Presently, I am more likely to be found with non-fiction in my hand (I have a weakness for biographies, which also began in my childhood--I devoured Donald Spoto's 700+ page Marilyn Monroe biography when I was 13), and have made inroads into contemporary-set fiction, but historicals will always hit that reading sweet spot. ;)

Look forward to chatting with you all!
