Southern Indiana Writers' Festival

Post by David_Lottes » Thu November 15th, 2012, 3:35 pm

I had the pleasure of being one of the guest authors, and meeting Mr. James Alexander Thom author of Long knife, Panther in the Sky, Follow the River, and many more wonderful historical fiction works, at the Southern Indiana Writers Festival.

Mr. Thom and I traded copies of our books and discussed the rich history of Vincennes Indiana, where the festival was located.

Pictured here are myself, Mr. Thom, and his wife, Dark Rain. Dark Rain is also an author of historical fiction.

Mr. Thom gave me his latest book, "The Art and Craft of Writing Historical Fiction"

I am enjoying it very much. I recommend it to anyone working in the genre, especially those just getting started. It is in large part a biographical piece with loads of insights into Mr. Thom's long career.
