This year's Nobel Laureate: Mo Yan

Post by Ludmilla » Fri October 12th, 2012, 4:42 pm

Has anyone read him?

I've seen a few snippets of the film, Red Sorghum, based on one of his books, but I've never seen it all the way through. That's the extent of my exposure to his work.

Wikipedia reports that his style is described as hallucinatory realism and that Mo Yan is a pen name that means "don't speak." How interesting!
