Another History Channel alert! I believe it's set to air on 16 October, a programme about Rome's fourth emperor. I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of what is discussed by those members who are familiar with his reign. Ben Kane? Annis? Others...?

Thanks for the heads-up, Rowan. I'll certainly keep an eye out for it, but we don't usually pick up stuff like this for quite some time after it's first aired. One of the downsides of living Down under :(

Oh, cool. I'll be watching that.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Wait a minute. The History Channel is planning to broadcast something that has something to do with ... history? Did I travel through time and it's 1999 again??

I've watched a lot of the History Channel's Roman shows and they very widely in quality and accuracy. Many reuse the same footage over and over, others just recut earlier shows and put on a new title and narrator. But, who knows? Maybe this one will be better.

This one, AFAIK, is by Adrian Murdoch, who's an historian of some repute. I would therefore expect it to be good. Will keep an eye out for it & if and when I see it, will let you know my thoughts, Rowan.
