A New Historian

Post by John Sliz » Mon September 10th, 2012, 8:23 pm

Hello, I just joined this forum and this is my first post. My wife and I are always open to new authors so I look forward to reading the recommendations.
We also travel a fair amount and we just came back from Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Austria. Two weeks, one car and a lot of historical places to visit.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Welcome, John! We also like to travel, but haven't made it to Eastern Europe. Sounds like a great trip.
