Starz announces "White Queen" adaptation (Phillipa Gregory)
Well that's interesting. It's a border castle but as far as I know it's never been in Wales - it wasn't in the 12th century certainly!
Thanks. I was pretty sure it was wrong. Was hoping you'd confirm!
I have a book on the castle that says (skimming just now) Ludlow was 'the 33rd largest provincial town in England in 1377 with a taxable population of 1,172. I can't see it suddenly becoming Welsh in the next 100 years!
Nail polish?
Yup, nice and clear, with possibly a tiny bit of white French manicure too!
There was one particular episode - about 4 or 5 I think - where it looked as if the cleaners had got carried away with floor polish - the floors all looked so shiny I was convinced that the actors were going to go flying when they walked in.

I see the DVD is for sale already on Amazon. Might have to put in a purchase request at the library

Yes I saw that feature too, think I agree with most of their comparisons, although Elizabeth W is more Catelyn than Cersei - that's definitely Margaret Beaufort.

Actually, if I had to peg Cersei as any historical figure, it would probably be Isabella of France. Everyone seems to go to the Wars of the Roses for parallels but GRRM claims The Accursed Kings series was a big source of inspiration for him, which involved Isabella.
