Christmas special

Post by princess garnet » Thu November 29th, 2012, 2:39 am

Caught this headline bit from the article in the previous thread about the Christmas special. When Season 2 was broadcasted here in the US, the Christmas special was included.

I hadn't realised there was a Downton Abbey 3 Christmas Special! We've not long finished Series 3 on TV, so hopefully we will be getting the Christmas Special sometime soonish. The DA2 Christmas Special was aired separately here and we didn't get to see it till quite some time after Series 2 ended.

I know the third season starts Jan 6. I meant the Christmas special. Or is that supposed to air at the end of season 3? If so, how very odd to air it in one place before the season has even started in another. Its not like Brits are going to keep it all a secret, ya know? (like we would, of course - not)

I think it's been that way for the other seasons. The Christmas Special is basically the season finale and needs to be watched in order, at the end of the season.
