[quote=""rebecca""]I found the whole Bates in prison very dour and ended up FF his bits. And for the first time I actually felt sorry for Thomas(though I still don't like the character)....Wait till you see the Season 3 Xmas special DVD...Although I won't miss the character  ....Season 4 shall be interesting.

[email protected]! :p I've been re-watching re-runs...sorry Brenna :p I got the seasons fuddled up(a senior moment  )......I agree half way through-- it was a shock!...But do look out for the DA Xmas Special 2013.

Still watching the Scotland visit. I like the bagpipes.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I totally agree with you re the male character. The other character you mentioned was in the 3rd series.

Yeah how come they never show the holiday specials on PBS in the states. I don't think I have seen one yet although I watched the first two seasons on Netflix.

Yes, I agree the Scotland visit was quite fun to watch and seeing what the Downton staff was doing while they were away!
There was a showing of "Secrets of Highclere Castle" afterwards on the PBS station I was watching. Did anyone else catch that?

Well that sucks!
BTW, was the finale really the Christmas special? Seemed like late fall to me.
