I'm new here, thanks to an invitation from Margaret, who also helped me get an avatar of my very own sized correctly for my profile! I love all sorts of genres, but historical fiction is a particular passion. I've been enjoying writing reviews for Margaret's site and love seeing so many intelligent discussions going at one time on this site.
I live in Portland on the Maine coast, did my graduate work in 18th century lit. at Univ. of Florida in Gainesville in the 90s, specializing in the now obscure works of Sarah Fielding (sister to the famous Henry, niece to Sir John Fielding of the Bow Street Runners, and the woman depicted in my avatar!). I'm currently on medical retirement with lots and lots of time to read. I can't wait to get to know everyone better!
