Hello from New Brunswick Canada

Post by Michele Kallio » Sun June 10th, 2012, 4:37 pm

Greetings from Canada's picture province! My name is Michele Kallio. I am a big fan of HF, especially English History.

I recently published my first novel, "BETRAYAL". In it modern day Lydia Hamilton is haunted by dreams that even invade her waking hours - dreams in which she is Elisabeth Beeton, lady's maid to Anne Boleyn. Lydia tries to ignore these vivid nightmares - until the day Elisabeth's diary arrives in the mail. Suddenly, Lydia is caught up in the quest to uncover the truth behind Elisabeth's betrayal.

I am looking forward to meeting others who share an interest in English history, as well as broadening my own interests through learning about other time periods and places.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Hi Michele! I'm another renaissance nut. Although I re-enact Tudor England, my renaissance reading interests go all over the globe.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. How I would love to take part in Tudor renactments... sounds like so much fun! But unfortunately there is not happening on that scene here.

Thanks for all the links. I am looking forward to exploring this site!
