Fellow Lover of Historical Fiction
Hello. Misfit was kind enough to tell me about your site over on the Amazon Historical Fiction board.
I have loved historical fiction from the time I was small. So much so, that I earned my degrees in History with an emphasis on U.S., British, Military, and the history of Technology. I have earned my living as a technical writer/editor at engineering firms for the past thirty years. However, I have never out-grown my love of history and research. Researching and writing historical fiction provides a nice breather from all the manuals and other technical documents with which I spend my days.
I am working on a series about a fictional U.S. Army family that takes the members from 1860 through World War II. I am delighted to let you know that the first five books in the BLACK KNIGHTS OF THE HUDSON series are now available as eBooks. I won't go into detail here since I respect and support your desire to keep author discussions to specific locations. I will provide the details in the designated Author section. You may also click the link in my signature to visit my web site for more information about the books and me.
I'm looking forward to sharing some of my favorite old authors with you and discovering new authors via your recommendations. Thank you, Misfit, for directing me here.

Hey Misfit. I snooped last evening while waiting for final activation. I really like the look of it and have already read some threads that are very interesting. Thanks so much for pointing me over here. I love your cat, Misfit. It looks a bit like a Bengal. I have four at the moment and I agree, nothing beats the furry ones and a good book.
Thanks for your welcome too, Sweetpotatoboy.

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
