Interest in HF: The first historical novel I read was Katherine by Anya Seton and this sparked off my interest in this genre.
Favourite HF book: Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell!
Preferred HF: Any

I just finished watching this today (whilst I was doing my ironing). I really enjoyed it. It was quite a moving two-parter. Very well done.

Agreed, Vanessa. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it was outstanding. Shame that something this good only comes along every year or two.

Yes, I have to admit to shedding a couple of tears! I think we will be seeing more of Eddie Redmayne, too. He seems a very good actor. War should never be.

I really enjoyed it, but I go along with a lot of viewers in the UK who complained that it was sometimes difficult to pick up on the dialogue. Too many actors these days just seem to mumble the words. I tried replay on certain scenes several times with the volume up, but still couldn't understand all of the dialogue. :o
