Silent in the Grave, Deanna Raybourn
I've just finished reading Silent in the Grave and thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't had much opportunity to do much reading over the last few months, but this book has renewed my thirst for historical fiction.
It was a fast read and I loved the way each chapter finished with a minor 'cliff hanger' which kept me turning the page.
I'm looking forward to reading the second in the series.

The first two in the series are both excellent, and I'm sure the 3rd and 4th ones are, also, as I'll soon be finding out.
She has also written a standalone about a young woman in the mid-1800s going to visit a school friend in Transylvania. That, too, was very good. I enjoyed every minute of it. Look for that one, too!
