Merry Christmas one and all!
My parents and I will attend Vigil Mass (guest celebrant is one of the bishops) and go out for dinner at Olive Garden tomorrow evening.

Hee, like that one! Best wishes to everyone for a peaceful, joyful and relaxing holiday, and especially wishing you many presents of books!
This month has sped by so fast, its hard to believe Christmas is this weekend! We used to take my MIL and her friend out for Christmas breakfast. This year, it will just be us and her friend; a bit bittersweet, but important to keep up the tradition. Then its off to my bro's for a Chanukah/Christmas/Call it an excuse for good food dinner. So glad my two neices are back in town, I've missed them!

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, or whatever holiday you celebrate. We are getting things ready for our familys tradition, which is candlelight service on Christmas eve in the afternoon, followed by a simple meal of soup and bread, games, and lots of gifts.
Then on Christmas day, all the kids go celebrate with their diverse in-laws and Jay and I do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Actually, we're going to go see War Horse and eat out.
Safe and happy holidays everyone! It's good to have the family together. We're decorating the tree, lighting the candles and will probably have a Jewish Christmas (Chinese food and a movie!)
Vanessa, love your graphics! Where do you get them?
I just use google. It does look quite atmospheric, doesn't it!
