A Place Called Armageddon

Has anyone read CC Humphreys' 'A Place called Armageddon? I've had it on my wish list for ages and just wondered what folk think of it?

Yes, I read it a while ago and posted a brief review here:

Although the fall of Christian Constantinople to the Turks is a subject with such obvious dramatic potential, the sheer scale makes it a difficult one to tackle from a fictional POV. As I commented in my review, I thought Chris Humphreys did an admirable job with it.
