Rest In Peace: Harry Morgan

Post by LoveHistory » Thu December 15th, 2011, 3:53 am

I don't have a link, and I don't remember how old he was but I remember watching him on M*A*S*H as the tough yet lovable Col. Potter.

Harry also had a successful film career. The two that come to mind right off are State Fair where he played a crooked carney and Inherit The Wind in which he played the judge in the town of Hillsboro.

Rest in peace, Mr. Morgan. You will be missed.

I think I read that he was well in his 90s. Great age but sad to hear of his passing, I only really remember him from MASH, great series.

Yes, I think I read he was 96! I would've posted about it when I heard he died, but I wasn't sure anyone would remember him.

I still love M*A*S*H, it's still better then a lot of the crap on TV today!

RIP Harry!

The show still runs in syndication so he'll live on in that.

Yes, on MeTV. The great thing is that scenes that were cut out on previous reruns have been put back in!

Loved Harry Morgan and was so sad when I heard he had died. He was in over a hundred movies and co-starred in Dragnet before M*A*S*H. Here's the IMDB bio:
