Archaeologists surveying for United Utilities have discovered a '17th Century cottage, complete with mummified cat' under a grass mound in the village of Barley, Lancashire, close to Pendle Hill. More information and some pictures on the BBC News site here:

'Witch's cottage' unearthed near Pendle Hill, Lancashire

This is interesting, but not very conclusive of any association with one of the known Pendle Witches! Nice theory for the local tourism industry though.
