Black Friday

Post by Telynor » Sat November 26th, 2011, 4:18 am

I do hope that everyone celebrating Thanksgiving had a safe and happy holiday. Watching the news tonight, and the violence and near rioting at the various Black Friday events is simply appalling. I just don't see the point to it at all.

The only time I used to venture into Seattle the day after Thanksgiving is when there was a new Harry Potter out.

The only time I've ventured out was last year after my old PC died on Thanksgiving. I will never ever do that again, I can't imagine any deals are worth that, nor that people can be so aggressive to obtain them. Watching the BF deals on Amazon were more than enough for me ;)

Ridiculous, barbaric behavior. We celebrated Black Friday by going to the movies and a "Buy-nothing Friday" pot luck at a local church. Of course, we will be buying some things for the holidays, but we shun the wild and woolly sales of the day after Thanksgiving.
