Edward III

Post by Rowan » Fri November 25th, 2011, 2:16 pm

Anyone know of some good titles about Edward III?

I found one by Jean Plaidy but it also had her pseudonym Victoria Holt on the cover, so I kinda thought it might be historical romance, which I don't want.

Edit to add... I tried searching on this site but it won't pick up the III part. :(

Thanks!

Has anyone read Maurice Druon's "Lily and the Lion" or Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sir Nigel" and do they apply perspective for Edward III?

There are a couple of novels around about his mistress Alice Perrers where he features, but I don't know if there's much where Edward III himself is seen the central character - Plaidy aside.

There's a list of fiction (including the Perrers novels) and non-fiction relating to Edward III at the World of Royalty website here- scroll down to find Edward III

There's also a list of fiction at Amazon

The Luminarium website has a reasonably comprehensive bio with additional links to follow up:
