I am now believing I can finish on time. Wasn't sure I'd make it this year.

Some 500 words behind but I'm calling it a night. Major headache and the kids won't let me write. I should be able to make it up tomorrow though.

I'm going to win. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not. My three-peat will be reality. Then I can take next year off (except that I'm not at all likely to do that).

Congratulations to everyone who 'won'! Hopefully we'll all get publishable books out of this eventually :)

Interest in HF: I can't answer this in 100 characters. Sorry.
Favourite HF book: Checkmate, the final novel in the Lymond series
Preferred HF: Literary novels. Late medieval and Renaissance.

I wrote about 32,000 words, and then a number of things conspired to end my NaNo experience this year. Some paying work came in that I had to attend to. I hit a point in my novel where I really had to go back and reorganize a bunch of chapters before I felt comfortable going on. I fell in love. The last was the real killer. But I don't mind. Life is good. :D
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info
