Reading a sample of Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln I like his style of writing and think I might buy it. I like being able to procure samples, so that I don't buy books that I never read. I am using the Kindle for PC.....quite like it!

Just finished Blood on the Tracks by Cecelia Holland, a concise history (Kindle Single ebook) about the relatively unknown Great Railroad Strike of 1877 in the US. It's gritty and relevant. Good material for a novel.

Just finished the Kindle sample of Lionheart. Enjoyed it, but Misfit's right, it might be better to buy the physical book, as I foresee having to do a lot of flipping back and forth, especially since I can only read it in spurts. I suppose I could mark the character list, though.
Finished The Kitchen Boy by Robert Alexander and now reading The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. My first Morton book and I'm liking it.
I finished The kitchen boy the other week - what did you think about it?

Reading The forgotten garden myself at the moment but The house at Riverton (if I remember the title correct) is even better. :)

I've finished two books recently:
"A Scandalous Life: The Biography of Jane Digby" by Mary S. Lovell (357pgs, 1995) (10/6)* - What an amazing life this woman led.

"The Reluctant Empress: A Biography of Empress Elisabeth of Austria" by Brigitte Hamann, trans. Ruth Hein (405pgs, 1986) (10/6)* - Despite all the gifts of beauty and privileges she had, she was such sad woman, her life sounded awful, her murder actually sounded like a blessing.

You've woken my interest SonjaMarie. Will have to keep these characters in mind for the future.

Yep. That's what you read most of the time isn't it? :) Once in a while I pick them up too.
