Is anybody going to see the show(s) on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of October?
Being a huge fan of Lloyd-Webber's music and having seen the Phantom for so many times (in London, New York, Scheveningen en Antwerp) I felt I could not miss this special performance and tried to buy tickets. I managed, although for the matinnee on Sunday afternoon.
Looking very much forward to it!

25 years already! I saw it a few weeks after it opened in New York with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. You could have heard a pin drop when Crawford sang "Music of the Night." No one in the theater moved...everyone was mesmerized.

Susan: you are SOOOOO lucky! I would've have LOVED to have seen it with MC and SB! I saw it in Seattle over a decade ago with people I don't even remember the names of.
I think I heard that it'll be released on DVD, that's when I will probably see it.

Sonja, I took my kids to see it a couple of years later after Crawford and Brightman had left and it just wasn't the same. Funny thing is that when I saw it with MC and SB, it was a theater party from an organization my husband belonged to. We really did not know much about the show, but after we saw it, we realized we had witnessed Broadway history.
