Oh, shoot! I'm in London the week before visiting my daughter during her term break. Would have loved to go.

A few?! It's 47 and counting... ;)

It's the first outing of many, hopefully. Looking forward to meeting you, EC2, and many others, as well as many readers, hopefully!

I'm so upset I can't attend. (It's Jewish New Year.) But I hope it goes well and becomes a regular event (and doesn't clash for me next year!).

Yes it will be fun - interestingly a lot more male authors than female though! As far as I know my agent and editor are coming! In fact several agents from Blake Friedmann will be there AFAIK. I'll be giving a talk in London the day before so I'm stopping over in the capital for 2 nights.

Sounds fun, wish I could go.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

This sounds like a blast. Can I ask for a repeat during next year's HNS conference in London? I'm saving my shekels to attend that one. :)

For me, one of the best things is being able to meet Bernard Cornwell.

Oh, and going out for steak and beers with a few other authors afterwards! :)

I met him at an HNS conference a few years ago - great guy. It's my agent's birthday, so I think I'm off with the agency to a celebration somewhere afterwards - something like that.
