CNN Highlights 6 Historical Adventures

Post by Rowan » Mon August 8th, 2011, 4:59 pm

I just found this article in which CNN London shares 6 historical adventures to enjoy over the summer holiday:

1. The DaVinci Code, Dan Brown
2. Murder in Mesopotamia, Agatha Christie
3. The Witch of Babylon, D.J. McIntosh
4. Labyrinth, Kate Mosse
5. The Seventh Scroll, Wilbur Smith
6. The Name of the Rose, Umberto Echo

While we may or may not agree on whether these particular books are worthy of any list *cough* DaVinci Code *cough* I always think it's cool when historical fiction is highlighted by anyone.

http://thewitchofbabylon.com/book.php looks interesting as it features Mesopotamian mythology. Hmmm. Antiquities thrillers can be fun.

I read Labyrinth down in FL during the last week of June. It was definitely a beach book choice and I enjoyed it.

The Witch of Babylon sounds interesting indeed!

I, too, read Labyrinth, but I don't remember when I read it...
