I posted two corrections:

Leadville should be Leadfield (my brain just doesn't want to call it that for some reason!).

Also, the 2009 photo of DV is not actually Death Valley... it's about an hour away at a place where my husband went climbing. The town you can barely see in the background of that photo is Pahrump, NV. It has the interesting claim to fame as being one of those rural counties where prostitution is legal. About an hour from Las Vegas, gentlemen drive to Pahrump to visit the local bordellos.

Yes thanks for the great pictures Ludmilla - I've never been to Death Valley, it looks like a pretty spectacular place.
