Welcome LG! I know what you may mean about the puppy business-we picked on up in October and boy oh boy was it a crazy and yet amazing time. Padfoot will be a year old on the 17th but everyday he still finds ways to bring a smile to my face! Good luck with that and enjoy it because they grow up so very fast!!

Many thanks to everyone

I'm so grateful for the warm welcome ... and the book recommendation of "Hanta Yo". Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to my introduction. I've added a photo of my puppy "Ruby" who took the long road from Tennesse to Connecticut to find her home with us. I'll take the opportunity to throw out a recommendation for "Widow of the South" ... I know it's been out there for a while, but it is a fantastic Civil War story in case any of you have missed it.

I neglected to mention my book, WETHERTON, in my original introduction. It is not technically historical fiction, although they sell it at the Historical Society where I work because it includes quite a bit of Connecticut colonial history. There is also a lovely, elderly English lady from Kent, who seems to be everyone's favorite character.

At any rate, you can find it on Amazon or Kindle along with the Publishers Weekly review I received from the Amazon contest I entered. Judging from the breadth of literary knowledge on this forum, I suspect it is a little too lighthearted for most of you, but if you're looking for a diversion ... my Mom liked it! :o

I love lighthearted diversionary fiction, LG. I'll look up your book.
