I thought some of our readers *and* authors might like this, ran across it at the Absolute Write fora, where the editor also posted a bit about AltHist:

Though the title might seem otherwise, this is dedicated both to historical and alternate-history short fiction. I figured a lot of us here might like the short format option!

Thanks for the link, DianeL. The only two other online magazines dedicated to HF short fiction (that I know of) are:
The Copperfield Review
Lacuna: A Journal of Historical Fiction (submissions closed until August 1)
Both are free online and don't pay. A paying market is a welcome addition!

Don't forget the Historical Novel Society's Solander. While it doesn't publish huge amounts of fiction, it does pay!
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info
