Extraordinary Roman map - view it now

Post by parthianbow » Wed June 22nd, 2011, 1:10 pm

The only known pictorial map from ancient Rome, the Peutinger Table, is now the subject of a new text, Rome's World, by Richard Talbert. TO tie in with the book's release, the map has been put online. It only gives a tiny impression of what the real life 22 foot long document must be like, but it's still incredible to see.

Check it out here.

Impressive! Map A wouldn't load but B was plenty interesting. I probably won't go through them all but what an incredible resource that could be for writers working in the Roman era.
