Hello all!
I just joined up and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Caroline and I am a lover of all things historical. I've been reading and writing historical fiction since I was a kid, and have just started querying my first finished historical fiction MS set in America during the Civil War (and later in England).
As for reading, some of my favorite authors are Jennifer Donnelly (I'm eagerly anticipating the release of The Wild Rose in August) and Deanna Raybourn, although I have also enjoyed books by Karleen Koen, Anne Easter Smith, and Karen Harper.
I'm looking forward to participating and getting to know you all!

Thanks Misfit! Trouble is fun so bring it on! And I love your kitty. I have two, myself.
Also, I read your statement on your blog regarding historical accuracy. I totally agree! I can't wait to read more of your reviews.

Welcome, OldHouseJunkie! I live in a place soaking with Civil War sites--Franklin, TN. Carnton Plantation (in the book Widow of the South) is right down the road from my house as is the Carter House which is really great. I wish you luck with your querying. I too am considering querying out my current project.
I wonder how many of us have kitties. Cats and books seem to go together like tea and sugar but perhaps that's just me.
Misfit, I also enjoyed your blog post. I will make certain to note that my book is historical fantasy! ; ) I am trying my very best to make certain that my fictional characters fit into their historical setting.
Have a good day, ladies.
