Having recently seen The Accursed Kings series, based on the books of Maurice Duron, I would love to see someone tell some of that story again. And part of it would be quite suitable to Philippa Gregory's style I think. I mean, there is King Phillip, his 3 sons are married to 2 sisters and ?a cousin. All three get thrown into a castle prison for adultery! Questions of poison and curses. Sounds right up her alley! She might even be able to work in a bit of Melusine!

On topic, Ms. Gregory should perhaps write something historical fantasy.
Lol - I thought that was already her speciality! Seriously, quite a few of her earlier books like the Wideacre trilogy and The Wise Woman do in my opinion count as historical fantasy as they contain elements of magic and the supernatural.

[quote=""Nefret""]Yes, indeed. I'd certainly read that.

Thank you Nefret! And yes, I agree with the fantasy idea for PG. If she's obsessed with that water witch lady, why not write about her?

And she can't do any worse in the way of portraying Edward II and Isabella than Druon did. ;)

Uh... Amenhotep IV, he's the only Egyptian ruler she is allowed to write about.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

True! She probably wouldn't handle that part of the story much differently.
